Hi, I'm Amy Hyink!
I'm in my mid twenties, and I live in Temple, Texas. I live with my husband Parker and two very interesting Canine roommates Abby and Banana. I created Dabbling Domesticity as a lifestyle blog to document things I make, grow, cook, and discover.
I have always had a fascination with domesticity. As a child I loved cooking, cleaning, crafting, and dreaming I was a pioneer woman. Today, I'm bringing my childhood dreams to reality through a lifestyle that encourages self reliance. I am constantly learning new ways to bring sustainability and comfort into my life. On an average day I might be hanging my clothes on a line to dry, making lye soap, or milling my own flour! It is these sort of things that give special meaning to my life, and I will always be excited to learn more. One day Parker and I hope to play pioneer on a bigger scale by owning our own little house on the prairie!
