For the past week our internet has been on the fritz. We were able to salvage a little bit of internet time on Parker's laptop plugged directly into the modem, but I had no luck using the wireless router to connect my desktop. The connection kept falling out! The repair guy came over yesterday afternoon and fixed what turned out to be a faulty cable, so I'm back. I'm so glad to have internet again! Its pathetic how sad I feel when I can't write on my blog!
Yesterday I spent a pretty big chunk of the day getting Parker's Valentine ready. I really like Valentines day! Even when I didn't have a boyfriend I always liked making gifts for friends and family! This year surprised Parker with milk and cookies when he got home from work.
It probably sounds like a really cheesy gift, but its the details that make it cute! I set up a little table in his work room with a cookie jar full of peanut butter cookie sandwiches and a little glass of soy milk. Usually Parker goes into his work room first thing when he gets home to put down his bag, so I figured it would surprise him!
The cookie recipe is from Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero. They turned out really good! They are crispy little peanut butter cookies filled with a stiff peanut butter frosting! Yum! Parker really liked them!
