Yummy Day

Nothing is better than leftovers! Seriously, three minutes in the microwave and I have got a delicious home cooked meal and almost no mess! I made the chocolate root-veggie chili from the February/March issue of Bust magazine for dinner last night, and, oh gosh, it was absolutely mind blowing! I served it with a baked sweet potato like the article preceding the recipe suggests... YUM!! It was even better for lunch today since I didn't have to hassle with peeling two pounds of turnips and carrots to get to its delicious goodness!




I also made orange cranberry nut bread for desert/breakfast! The recipe is from Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero. It took a little longer to bake than the recipe suggests, but it is totally worth it.


This is all that is left today. My boyfriend really really liked it. I bought a bag of frozen cranberries instead of fresh, and I have a ton left in the freezer... I foresee another cranberry-orange nut bread in the near future!
