Christmas is over

Today is the start of my Christmas undecorating! Parker and I did a lot of decorating this year so there is a lot of undecorating to be done!

I finished a few sewing projects that had been sitting in my crafting closet for at least a year. I'm especially proud of the wreath I finished! I watched every episode of 30 Rock on netflix while I finished the embroidery on this thing!

Christmas this year was a little hectic, so I'm kinda looking forward undecorating and getting my life back to normal. I don't want to sound like I had a bad Christmas. I had a wonderful time at all the parties, I enjoyed seeing my family, and I especially enjoyed all of the yummy food. My mom made vegan orange slice cookies that could convince anyone that they had died and gone to heaven! All of the stress was really a result of my decision to make everyone on my shopping list at least one handmade gift. At first, this was a great idea! I stayed busy with embroidery, sewing, and other crafty projects. The stress really started when I was trying to can seven pounds of pears by myself a few days before Christmas. The hard work paid off when saw how much everyone liked the gifts! I am upset with myself that I forgot to take pictures of all of the crafting madness. You will just have to take my word for it.

Parker did a really great job putting up lights this year! I think I am going to miss them the most! Parker wrapped lights around the giant tree in our front yard and started a tree wrapping craze in our neighborhood... Well, the neighbors put lights on their tree a few days later. Obviously they were enamored with his work and tried to recreate his masterpiece in their own front yard.
